A logarithmic spiral also known as a growth spiral is a self-similar spiral curve that can be observed in nature at varying scales. Some examples include a nautilus shell, whirlpools and spiral galaxies to name a few. The spiral has been an important symbol in many ancient cultures and it has been used in sacred architecture to represent growth and evolution.
